One of many conversations in the throne room

Once upon a time, there was a conversation between God and Michael about a child of His that was in the act of worship completely oblivious to the following conversation in heaven:

Michael: You’re thinking she’s the one for the job, aren’t you?

God: Yes, Michael, I am….but I ache for the journey she must travel to do this task.

Michael: All she has to do is partner with you. It’s your will that this be done. Once she agrees with it on earth, it will be done. Isn’t that what You designed? Isn’t that what this human action called prayer is?

God: Yes, it is. But, that one thing is not all I want to do through this. Yes, she will be a part of that miracle, but she has no idea the road that will be traveled before that miracle occurs. She is completely unaware of the pain and sacrifice it will cost her. And, it grieves me to think on it. This heart of Mine breaks for what she will face as she takes on this task…..this task that seems to her to be gloriously breathtaking.

Michael: You’re sure she can handle it?

God: Oh, yes, absolutely sure.

Michael: Then, what are You waiting for? Why are You hesitating telling her?

God: Michael, have you not been listening?! She will think this task to be a simple one of praying in faith. The answer to her prayer will be yes because it is what I will, but it will not be as immediate as she may think. It will be much darker and difficult that she can even imagine right now. It will involve rejection…..wounding…..doubt….loneliness. She will even begin to question whether she can hear Me. She will face things she has never faced before. I hurt because she will hurt. Do you not see the tears threatening in My eyes? Can you not sense the ache in my voice?

Jesus: She will not be alone, Father. I will go with her. She will have My sword.

Holy Spirit: And, I will guide her. She will have my comfort.

An angel to the side stepped forth: I will go with her. She will have my protection!

Then, around the throne room, angels stood one by one with the same steadfast promise:
“I will go with her”
“I will help her!”
“I will uphold her!”
“I will protect her!”

Then the One who reigns forever stands. “And I, the God of angel armies, will go before her, stand behind her, and be always by her side!”

And then, at that moment God leans down and whispers in that ear that is tuned to His voice:

“This is what I plan to do and you will be a part of it.” To her, that Voice is clear….almost audible. And her reply, automatic, “I’m ready.”
